Embedding Social Plugins
Intro
We built IMC as an open platform that welcomes and embraces almost any external content and services. Inserting them to your IMC site is super-simple and involves mostly copying & pasting of the embed codes such services are providing.
Using our “Embed HTML Element”, you can easily add to your site:
- Social widgets and buttons (such as “like”, “tweet”, “Google+1” and more)
- Google Maps
- E-commerce (online shops and PayPal buttons)
- Custom forms & polls
- Videos (YouTube, Vimeo etc.)
- Blogs (such as Tumblr)
and just about any other web-service out there…
General – Adding an HTML Element
Follow these steps:
1. Open your site with the IMC editor
2. Click “Add an Element“
3. Click the “HTML” element
4. A new element will be added – double-click on it or choose “Edit HTML“
5. Insert your embed code (you can see many examples for such codes in this tutorial)
6. Click OK
That’s it! Your new element is active and ready to be positioned, re-sized, copied and pasted.
Facebook Elements
“Like” Button
The code can be auto-generated here:
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/
sample embed code:
<iframe src=”http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=imcreator.com&send=false&layout=standard&width=450&show_faces=true&action=like&colorscheme=light&font&height=80″ scrolling=”no” frameborder=”0″ style=”border:none; overflow:hidden; width:450px; height:80px;” allowTransparency=”true”></iframe>
Important Tip: make sure you change the imcreator.com to your own URL

sample embed code:
<a href=”http://twitter.com/share” data-count=”horizontal”>Tweet</a><script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js”></script>
Tumblr
There are 3 main ways to embed your tumblr blog:
1. Embedding your blog as RSS
We recommend using an external service, for example www.rssinclude.com
It’s a simple step-by-step embeddable RSS reader generator.
2. Embedding your blog using external widgets
Insert your entire tumblr into your IMC site using external widgets like this one – http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/rss-tumblr
3. Link to your blog
Simply link your blog from your main menu or using a standalone link.
Music
Soundcloud.com player
We recommend using soundcloud.com to upload, share and embed your music.
More details can be found here: http://soundcloud.com/pages/widgets
Google Maps
A great tutorial on how to embed Google Maps to your IMC site can be found here:

Forms & Polls
We recommend using JotForm.com to create your own customized forms, order forms and polls.
Tip: Make sure to get the ‘iFrame’ version of the embed code.
E-commerce
There are many ways to include an e-commerce option in your IMC website. Below is a list of some popular methods:
1. PayPal buttons: the simplest e-commerce solution – https://www.paypal.com/pdn-item
2. Google Store Widget: embed your own store and get paid using Google Checkout. More details can be found here: https://storegadgetwizard.appspot.com/storegadgetwizard/
3. Embeddable 3rd party store: there are currently multiple online services offering free embeddable storefronts, see http://wepay.com
4. External stores: manage your store externally: http://www.shopify.com
